Basic Specifications
Model NO.
SAE 1045 C45 S45c Carbon Steel
Application
Structural Steel, Tool Steel, Die Steel
Special Use
Mold Steel, Free Cutting Steel
Types
Round, Square, Hexagonal, Profile
Product Description
All bars are cleaned by shot blasting before drawing, then pulled through a carbide die, straightened, saw cut to length, oiled, and shipped. Cold drawing results in a product with higher tensile and yield strength, smoother surface finish, and a closer size tolerance.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: What are the main benefits of SAE 1045 cold drawn steel?
A: It offers higher tensile and yield strength, a smoother surface finish, and much tighter dimensional tolerances compared to hot-rolled steel.
Q2: What shapes are available for cold drawn steel?
A: We provide Round, Square, Hexagonal, and various special profiles to meet diverse industrial requirements.
Q3: What is the typical straightness of your steel bars?
A: The standard straightness for our cold drawn steel bars is a maximum of 0.8mm/m to 1mm/m, ensuring suitability for automatic CNC feeding.
Q4: What size range can you manufacture?
A: We produce sizes ranging from M12 to M120, with round bars available from 5mm up to 120mm in diameter.
Q5: How is the steel protected during transport?
A: All bars undergo anti-rust oiling and are packed using sea-worthy, anti-rust materials to ensure they arrive in perfect condition.
Q6: What quality inspections are performed?
A: We utilize a full range of equipment including UT testing, tensile and hardness testers, spectrometers, and metallographic microscopes.
